Ultrasound-guided injection therapy involves using a small needle to inject medication into joints, tendons, ligaments or other soft tissues.

Prolotherapy is used and a small quantity of hypertonic dextrose solution is injected into the area of abnormality including tear. This triggers inflammation, causing tissue regeneration and growth; strengthening the weakened area. Healing and pain relief is the end result from a series of these injections, over an approximately six month period.
